PETITION

TO The Legislative Assembly of Ontario:

WHEREAS Dalton McGuinty promised not to raise taxes in the 2003 and 2007 provincial elections;

And WHEREAS Dalton McGuinty broke his promises when he brought in the two largest tax hikes in Ontario's history: the Health Tax and the HST as well as new fees, levies, taxes and/or premiums on hydro, electronics and land, among others;

And WHEREAS these tax increases have come while there have been massive spending scandals at E-Health, OLG, Cancer Care Ontario and the WSIB;

And WHEREAS Dalton McGuinty snuck through an ECO-TAX on 10,000 items, ignoring the Legislative Assembly and hiding it from Ontario taxpayers when Ontarians could least afford it;

WE the undersigned petition the McGuinty Government to repeal this ECO-TAX immediately and give Ontario taxpayers the break that they need.
