NEWS: Nepean - Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod will be launching the next phase of "Have Your Say, Nepean-Carleton." MacLeod will be hosting Coffee & Tea Parties throughout the riding to talk to residents about the results of the recently launched survey. The Coffee & Tea Parties will be an opportunity for MacLeod and residents to discuss local and provincial priorities before and immediately after the 2011 Ontario Budget. "Have Your Say, Nepean-Carleton" was launched by MacLeod on January 18th with 50 community leaders being asked to complete the 50 question survey. The survey was mailed to 50,000 households throughout the riding to provide MacLeod with advice in the lead up to the 2011 Ontario Budget. The result of the survey identifies hydro bills as the expense respondents are most concerned about. A whopping 72 percent blame Dalton McGuinty's HST tax grab and his expensive energy experiments for their skyrocketing hydro bills. And 88 percent believe his smart meter tax machines will not provide relief on their hydro bills. The result confirms what Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Caucus have been saying all along - Ontario families are looking for respect and relief. QUOTES: "The survey clearly shows that Ontario families no longer trust Dalton McGuinty to provide them with the relief they need." -- Lisa MacLeod, MPP Nepean-Carleton "I want to invite all Nepean-Carleton families to join me at one of my Coffee & Tea Parties. I want to get your thoughts on issues ranging from skyrocketing hydro rates, what to do about the HST and how to improve health care in our province." -- Lisa MacLeod, MPP Nepean-Carleton QUICK FACTS:
