NEWS: (Queen's Park)- From her office at Queen's Park, Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod has been opening thousands of surveys from residents who are providing the local representative with their views in advance of the Ontario budget. MPP MacLeod launched "Have Your Say Nepean-Carleton" on January 18th at her Barrhaven constituency office. MacLeod was joined by 50 community leaders as she unveiled the 50 question long, comprehensive survey that has since landed on 50,000 Nepean-Carleton doorsteps. She has augmented the survey with other forms of consultation, using facebook, twitter (#HYSNC), tele townhalls and coffee parties to seek advice from her top advisors. "Have Your Say Nepean-Carleton" is a spin off of the Ontario PC Caucus led initiative by Tim Hudak called Have Your Say Ontario which seeks advice from Ontarians. Quotes "I'm proud that Nepean-Carleton residents are having their say. Under the McGuinty Liberals Ontario families have been shut out of decision making at Queen's Park. That's about to change." -- Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod "Families in Barrhaven, Greely, Riverside South and throughout our riding are telling me that taxes are too high, job security is of concern and government waste is frustrating. I'm looking forward to continued feedback so I can take these issues directly to the floor of the legislature." -- Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod Quick Facts
Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Caucus' "Have Your Say, Ontario" asks families a series of questions to better understand what's important to them, including:
