February 18th, 2010 (Queen's Park) - Dalton McGuinty is blocking accountability measures the Progressive Conservatives are calling for on a variety of provincial issues, notably an Auditor's review of the $7 Billion untendered Samsung deal, a public inquiry into the $1 Billion e-Health boondoggle and a Coroner's Inquest into the death of a teenager after emergency services in her community were cut, says PC Accountability Critic Lisa MacLeod. Today in Question Period MacLeod asked the Premier, "What are you afraid Ontario families will learn from a public inquiry into e-Health, an Auditor's review of the Samsung deal and a coroner's inquest into the tragic death of Reilly Anzovino?" MacLeod pointed out that McGuinty knew who got rich from e-Health, what the secret deals were on the mother of all untendered contracts to Samsung and that he had a hand in cutting emergency services in Port Colborne and Fort Erie, while it's been the Tories who have been calling on McGuinty to be accountable to Ontario families. "We've called for a Coroner's Inquest, a public inquiry into e-Health and an auditor's review of the Samsung deal. The only thing standing in the way of accountability is the Premier." -30-
