Lisa and Ontario PC Leader John Tory spoke with community leaders in Ottawa's west end off Richmond Rd. to get a glimpse at what kind of crime is plaguing our communities. The group, including a Community Police Officer and Crimestoppers, toured Winthrop Court where residents say drug deals happen every night in the parking garage which is covered in graffiti and gang tags. Tory said while the national crime rate is down, Ottawa's is up, and he blames the McGuinty government for not taking the crime problem seriously. |
